Business Areas

The Superintendents' Association of Northern Ireland has a number of business areas that reflect the policing priorities of the PSNI. These business areas are similar to ACPO for England, Wales and Northern Ireland; Superintendents' Association of England and Wales; and Association of Scottish Police Superintendents.

By taking this approach we ensure that the voice of our members is heard nationally, and we are kept informed of all developments in policing from ACPO, the Home Office and beyond.

Each business area is headed by a member of our executive committee, and can include co-opted members with specific knowledge, skills and experience.

The PSANI Business Plan builds on our seven Business Areas:

1. Human Resources;
2. Crime;
3. DCU Support;
4. Diversity;
5. Operational Support;
6. Science and Technology;
7. Command Resilience.
